HAWAIIAN GARDENS CA - Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation helps the City of Hawaiian Gardens fulfill a dream. The Irving I. Moskowitz foundation has partnered up with the City by making a generous contribution of $1.5 million dollars to build a field of dreams- the Pharis Fedde Middle School Sports Complex.
The Irving I. Moskowitz foundation recognizes the need and importance for recreational opportunities for the youth and adults of the Hawaiian Gardens community. Being that the City is only 9/10ths of a square mile, open space is very limited and revitalizing the Pharis Fedde Middle School field is more than just a recreational opportunity, but also a symbol of the Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation’s commitment to the community of Hawaiian Gardens. With the generous contribution made by the Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation the existing field will be transformed into a state-of-the-art facility for the use of the Hawaiian Gardens residents. It includes two baseball/softball fields, a multi-purpose athletic field with a rubberized track, synthetic turf field, bleachers, stadium lighting, scoreboard, pedestrian walk ways, volleyball/ basket ball courts and an upgraded parking lot.
The Irving I. Moskowitz Foundation is proud to take part in projects that benefit the community of Hawaiian Gardens. Especially projects that help keep the youth out of gangs and negative behavior. The Pharis Fedde Sports Complex is scheduled to be completed by 2013.
