The Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 7243 would like to thank you very much for your generous donation to our program. The money was placed in our general fund. No goods or services were provided to your foundation for your donation.

The Post conducts a Law Enforcement Officer of the year award, a Fire Fighter of the year award, a Emergency Medical Technician of the year award, a Teacher of the year award, A Patriotic Pen essay award, open to all area 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, a Voice of Democracy essay award, open to all area 9th, lOth, 11th' 12th grade students. We also contribute to the following National VFW programs; homeless veterans program (assisting homeless veterans), wheelchair and golden age games program ( therapeutic and rehabilitation competition), pow/mia program (educate the public and urge elected officials to remember those lost during . war time), Buddy Poppy program, ( a program to support veterans welfare and the well being of their dependents) military service members unmet needs program (identifying critical needs and providing emergency financial aid) and national home for widows and orphans program ( provides long and short term residency to the children and grandchildren of the VFW and its Auxiliary members).
